advent 2011 - a devotional resource for the kairos network

This advent resource is simple. It takes a verse or two of scripture, a short reflective response, and simple prayers then it’s up to you.

The first 3 weeks of Advent are spent in Isaiah 40 with the intention of focusing our attention on the character of God and his work. The final week is spent in John 1:1-14 reflecting on the nature of the incarnation.

Suggested Order

• Read the Song of Mary.
• Read the scripture set for that day
• Reflect and think through your own response.
• Pray something - it doesn't have to be long & eloquent.
• Finish by praying one or both of the prayers.
