Story – Love Harrogate

Last Saturday young people and families from a number of different churches met together  for Love Harrogate.  After some games,  worship and prayer together we went out in three groups to serve others.  One group worked on some creative evangelism with Beulalh 62,  another did some goardening and cleaning work in a nearby house with the Joshua Project.

We finished the day with a BBQ at St Andrew’s Starbeck.  It was very good to join with others of all ages and go out on mission!

Here is one snasphot of the day from Elaine Timmis:

“Armed with buckets and sponges we went  out onto the Fairfax estate with the car washing team, made up of young people,  Links, and the Askew family.

We knocked on doors, told people who we were and simply asked  if we could do something kind for them and wash their cars! There was a great response, we had several significant conversations with people and it was a great way to simply serve and bless people.

In short we all had loads of fun, got very wet and we’d love to do it again!”
