There are many ways to get involved with life as part of Kairos. If you’ve read the welcome and had a look at our story, why not connect with us to find out more and chat with Ben our minister. You’re very welcome if you just want to come along to a Gathering on Sunday or any of our other events. Kairos Communities are where most of us get together. We meet in various homes during the week. You’ll be very welcome to come along to explore and Ben can help you make contact with a Kairos Community. Prayer is for everyone. Perhaps you are facing big challenges in life, perhaps grief for a loved one, and you want to pray. God is there for you even if you haven’t turned to him before. It’s ok just to cry out, to share your deepest feelings of pain or joy, to share your questions, your worries. If you’d like some help to pray, these are some ideas and resources we find helpful. Perhaps they will help you.
We meet regularly for prayer and you’re very welcome to join us online or face to face. Prayer is part of the life of each Kairos Community – so that’s another great way to join in.
… In Living as a Follower of Jesus
We are followers of Jesus through each day, through all of life, not just on a Sunday morning. As we go through each day we are seeking to be faithful followers of Jesus – we are ‘blessed to be a blessing’. These are some of the resources we’re finding helpful at the moment.
Alpha: the Alpha course is an opportunity for conversations about faith, life and God. Over several weeks we explore big question of life and faith Alpha is a place where many find a new perspective on life and make a commitment to be a follower of Jesus. We run Alpha regularly. We aim to reach out and share love with our community here in Harrogate. Much of that happens through our Kairos Communities. We also have some adventures in mission as a church, as well as supporting mission partners and working for justice. Working for mission and justice are vital elements of who we are and there are always opportunities for you to join in.
