Kairos Network Church believes that safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults is a key part of discipleship and as such is part of our core faith and an integral part of Christian life.  The welfare of the child, young person and vulnerable adult is at all times paramount and takes precedence over all other considerations.

This church recognises and values children and young people (anyone under the age of 18) as equal partners in the life and ministry of the church, and desires to encourage them to explore, discover and grow as disciples. The Trustees take seriously their obligations and responsibilities to protect and safeguard the welfare of any child or young person (i.e. under the age of 18 years) entrusted to the church’s care.

The trustees have adopted this policy statement on safeguarding in the church:  Safeguarding Policy Statement, Promoting a Safer Church, House of Bishops, 2017.
The church has appointed Rachel Wilkinson as our Safeguarding officer.
