What We Do
There are two main ways we express our vision: Mission-Shaped Communities and Gatherings.
Flexible and simple groups with a high degree of autonomy so that they can be responsive to whatever they believe God wants.
MSCs take the good news of Jesus to those they meet in ways that reflect the particular vision of each community. They are voluntarily led by members of Kairos and are accountable to the church leadership.
MSCs meet throughout the week in homes, cafés, community centres and all sorts of places around Harrogate. To find out a bit more about one of these communities get in touch using the Connect page.
We meet together regularly to worship, pray, encounter God and learn from Him. These times together are important to us for encouragement and challenge. We currently gather at the following times:
9am Communion, every Sunday in the Kairos room at Westcliffe Hall
A reflective service of Communion following the Church of England Common Worship liturgy. This is an important regular meeting point for prayer, worship and bible teaching based on the lectionary reading for the day. In many ways the 9am Communion forms a bedrock to much of the other activity that takes place at Kairos.
Central Gathering, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Sunday of the month, 10.30am in Westcliffe Hall
We meet to worship, hear teaching and time to respond to God together. We meet as all ages together on 1st and 3rd Sundays and children have their own groups on 2nd Sundays. These informal gatherings start with refreshments available from 10:15am.
Daily Prayers, 9-9.30am Monday to Thursday
We meet to worship, read the bible and pray together in the Kairos Room at Westcliffe Hall.
You are very welcome to join us at any of these gatherings.
