We are creating a new opportunity for worship, prayer and encounter with God.
Join us on the 4th Sunday of every month from 7:30pm for our worship and prayer evening. You can expect space and time in a safe relaxed atmosphere with an encouragement to listen, experience God’s presence and pray for our world. This starts Sunday 25th Sept.
Kairos Church will be holding a Confirmation service here at Kairos at 11am on Sunday 20th November with Bishop Helen-Ann Hartley.
Confirmation is an opportunity for adults and young people to make a public declaration of faith and receive prayer to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It is a great thing to do, especially if you are a young person wanting to say that following Jesus is for you or an adult wanting to mark a commitment in your faith.
There will be 4 Confirmation preparation sessions, 7.30pm – 8.30pm: Thursday 29th September, Thursday 6th October, Thursday 13th October and a final session on Thursday 10th November.
Please let Jen know by the 18th September if you’d like to be confirmed on the 20th November or if you’d like to find out a bit more about what will be involved.
On Sunday 3rd there will be opportunity for adults and young people to be baptised at our 11am Central Gathering. Baptism is an important moment in the life of a disciple of Jesus. It is a chance to make public commitment to following Christ, to be baptised in water and to receive prayer for the Holy Spirit.
If you would like to get baptised on the 3rd July please contact Ben.
After this gathering we will have bring and share lunch together.
On Sunday 5th June Kairos Church will be gathering to mark Pentecost together at 10am. This will replace our normal 9am and 11am gatherings and allow us to celebrate together. During the service there will also be thanksgiving for the Platinum Jubilee and prayers for Her Majesty the Queen.
We’d love you to join us for this special celebration, gathering starts at 10am, refreshments will be served after the service.
Graham Dowling continues out ‘Transforming Power’ series by thinking about ‘Transforming Money’. Jesus teaches that money is a great servant but a rubbish master! How can we allow faith in God to transform our attitude towards and use of money.
The reading is Luke 12: 13-21 and 32-34.
You might like to use these questions to help think about your own response:
What does the way you use money say about your priorities?
How might God be inviting you to trust his provision more?
Is God calling you to embrace greater discipline or generosity?
